How we work

Town and Country Gardens

This is our complete garden design service – ideal for large or small gardens in need of a full re-design. We’ll shape the design, create planting plans and support you through the construction process.

Concept & Masterplan Design

We start with a site visit to understand your space and ambitions. After that, we’ll provide a quote and outline the process. There’s a small consultation fee for this stage, deducted from your final bill if you go ahead. To help us design the space we will need to survey your garden. For larger or more complicated gardens we’re likely to need professional site surveys. These can be arranged if needed.

From there, we’ll start work on your garden. We will share concept imagery and mood boards to refine the look and feel of the space. We will develop a masterplan – the overall design layout that brings structure to the garden.

Optional 3D visuals are also possible at this point to help you imagine the design before it is built.

Setting Out Plan & Construction Drawings

Once the masterplan is approved, we’ll create detailed technical drawings with measurements, materials and aesthetic construction notes. These plans are designed for your contractor to work and quote from. While we don’t build the garden ourselves, we’ll work closely with your team throughout.

Planting Plan

We design a bespoke planting scheme that complements the structure of the garden, brings the colour you love, along with texture and seasonal interest. We’ll draw up the plan, plant-by-plant, source the plants, set them out on planting day and provide a simple care guide to help them thrive.

Project Monitoring

We’re here to help you appoint contractors and specialist builders, as required. We can advise and help source materials and we can also make site visits during the build to ensure everything’s progressing as planned.
